The South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) will host a roundtable discussion to launch the SAHRC thematic discussion paper on “Discrimination and Violence on the Basis of Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression (SOGIE) in South Africa.”

The purpose of the roundtable discussion is to engage with key stakeholders on the on-going challenges faced by the LGBTIQ community; to consider priority areas within the context of KwaZulu-Natal; and to explore measures to address intolerances and discrimination against persons on the basis of SOGIE.
