The Free State FISD will host a joint public outreach clinic on the 08th of March 2018 at Thaba Patchoa, Free State.
Inspired by the ideals and values enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, the Forum for institutions Supporting Democracy (FISD) is a forum that provides a platform for forum members to pursue co-operation, collaboration and an alliance while maintaining their independence and autonomy. The constitution of the Republic of South Africa (1996) establishes a range of independent institutions tasked with strengthening constitutional democracy.
The objectives of the joint public outreach clinics are:
• Informing citizens about the role and the mandate of the FISD;
• Educating and raising awareness about human rights and the mechanisms available for the realisation of rights;
• Recording service delivery complaints and other human rights violations;
• Engaging government on issues raised by the citizens; and
• Provide a platform for dialogue on key issues affecting citizens and democracy
