Media Invite: SAHRC Mpumalanga Provincial office to commemorate Human Rights Day at Steve Tshwete Local Municipality, Kwazamokuhle (Hendrina)

The South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC), Mpumalanga provincial office will be commemorating Human Rights Day under the Theme: “The Year of OR Tambo: Unity in Action in Advancing Human Rights”. The day is commemorated annually on 21 March to remind all South Africans about the sacrifices that accompanied the struggle for the attainment of democracy in the country.

The commemoration aims at advocating human rights and providing participants with an opportunity to reflect on the progress made in the promotion and protection of human rights.  It also aims to build a strong working relationship with stakeholders and community organisations/structures in order to join hands in promoting a culture of human rights.

The event shall take place as follows:

Venue:                  Cosmos Community Hall at Kwazamokuhle Township, Hendrina
Time:                    10h00 – 15h00
Dress Code:           Organisational paraphernalia
