Media Invite: SAHRC Western Cape provincial office to launch a thematic discussion paper on spatial justice

The South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC), Western Cape Provincial office, in partnership with the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform, will be hosting a Provincial Indaba on the effectiveness of the legal instruments put in place for farm evictions and those that are employed to monitor and enforce them.

The Indaba seeks to provide an opportunity for all stakeholders to explore the challenges experienced by farm workers and farm dwellers; interrogate the instruments that are put into place to cater for evictions; and to discuss the effectiveness of the measures put in place to monitor these instruments.

The Indaba is scheduled to take place as follows:
