Media Invite: SAHRC Mpumalanga Office embarks on a Child Protection week (School visits)

The Mpumalanga Provincial Office will be embarking on the Child Protection Week campaign by visiting five schools in the province. During the campaign, the South African Human Rights Commission (Commission) will be promoting its Child Friendly Complaints Handling Procedures (CFCHP). The campaign is also meant to empower children with information that shall enable them to identify human rights threats or violations and report such directly to the Commission.

The Commission is concerned about the well-being of all children in South Africa and continues to prioritise complaints of violations of children’s rights. The Commission firmly believes that complaints involving children’s rights need to be treated with priority and sensitivity.
The campaign is scheduled to take place as follows:
