Media Invite: SAHRC Eastern Cape Office embarks on a child friendly campaign

Attention: Editors and Reporters
25 May 2018

The Eastern Cape Provincial Office will be embarking on a Child Friendly Campaign by visiting two Child and Youth Centre’s in the Province. During the campaign, the South African Human Rights Commission (Commission) will be promoting its Child Friendly Complaints Handling Procedures (CFCHP). The campaign is also meant to empower children with information that shall enable them to identify human rights  violations and report such directly to the Commission.

The Commission is concerned about the well-being of all children in South Africa and continues to prioritise complaints of violations of children’s rights. The Commission firmly believes that complaints involving children’s rights need to be treated with priority and sensitivity.
The campaign is scheduled to take place as follows:

Centre                                       Date                Time
Masizakhe Children’s Home          26 May 2018    10h00
