Media Statement: SAHRC KwaZulu - Natal Provincial Office, Commemoration of International Albinism Awareness Day

In 2014 the General Assembly of the United Nations adopted a resolution declaring 13 June as “International Albinism Awareness Day.” This resolution confirmed the global focus on albinism and encourages everyone to celebrate and promote albinism awareness.

The South African Human Rights Commission, in collaboration with Albinism Society: KwaZulu-Natal and other stakeholders, will be hosting a Two-Day Dialogue under the theme, “Shining Our Light to the World.”
