These roadshows are expected to serve as a platform to amplify awareness on pertinent issues relating to access to justice, the Commission’s child friendly complaints handling procedure and access to information. The roadshows are centered on the theme ‘amplifying human rights education to communities’.
The Human Rights Roadshows are an opportunity for the Commission to directly interact with the communities and to increase the Commission’s visibility, as well as promote its mandate. The roadshows will be conducted at clinics, hospitals, correctional facilities, old age homes and schools, the roadshow will take the form of campaigns and information sessions. Information and promotional material will be disseminated. Short presentations will also be made to passers-by and posters will be posted on the streets, notice boards.
