Media Invite: SAHRC Mpumalanga office to host capacity building workshops on the right to healthcare services

On 18 – 20 September 2018, the South African Human Rights Commission (“the Commission”) will be hosting capacity building workshops to amplify basic human rights awareness with specific focus to the right to healthcare services enshrined in section 27 of the Constitution. The workshops are centered under the theme “Understanding Your Healthcare Rights and Responsibilities”.

The workshops are intended to equip rural communities with information on the right to healthcare services as well as the role and responsibilities of government in strengthening the promotion and protection of the right.

The workshops are targeting community-based organizations and ordinary members of the public, and are scheduled to take place as follows:
