25 MARCH 2019

The South Africa Human Rights Commission (Gauteng Provincial Office), the City of Tshwane and the Department of Water and Sanitation will hold a public meeting in Hammanskraal on Tuesday, 26 March 2019, to report back on progress made in addressing water quality concerns in the area.

On 11 March 2019, the Commission conducted follow up inspection in the area after complaints about the appearance, odour and taste of the water supplied were raised. In order to achieve a sustainable reconciliation of the varying interests, the Commission and the Department of Water and Sanitation will be part of the meeting in an honest endeavour to find mutually acceptable solutions.

Details of the public meeting are as follows:

Date: 26 March 2019
