Media Advisory: The South African Human Rights Commission and the Public Protector to conduct a joint site inspection in Alexandra

The South African Human Rights Commission (the Commission) will conduct a joint site inspection with the Office of the Public Protector in Alexandra tomorrow.

This inspection takes place following the first sitting of the inquiry into the Alexandra protests, in which the Commission and the Public Protector are probing possible violation of basic human rights and allegations of maladministration and improper conduct concerning the Alexandra Renewal Project.

Interested parties are invited to make written submissions to the Commission in order to fully address the issues for investigation.
Written submissions must reach the Commission by Friday, 31 May 2019.
