Tomorrow on 23rd May 2019, the South African Human Rights Commission (“the Commission”) in collaboration with the City of Johannesburg will host a Social Cohesion summit to commemorate Africa month with a view to fostering social cohesion between the migrant community and locals in Johannesburg.

This summit is designed to bring together a broad range of stakeholders from diverse cultures, languages and ethnicities to fulfil the injunction of our Constitution “diverse people unite” and forms part of a strategic programme with the objective to highlight the need for renewed commitment to social cohesion, diversity, integration and adherence to the values of Ubuntu in the City of Johannesburg.
