Media Advisory: The South African Human Rights Commission convenes the third sitting of the Alexandra inquiry

The South African Human Rights Commission (the Commission) and the Office of the Public Protector will convene the third session of the inquiry into socio-economic conditions in Alexandra, their impact on fundamental rights and whether such amounts to maladministration, abuse of power, corruption or improper conduct.

The Inquiry will receive oral submissions from the Department of Cooperative Governance & Traditional Affairs, Water and Sanitation, the Inter-Ministerial Task Team on Alexandra, the City of Johannesburg Forensics Unit, the Office of the Premier in Gauteng, the National Commissioner of the South African Police Service, and the Leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters.

The Inquiry will take place as follows:
