Media Advisory: The Western Cape Department of Local Government in collaboration with the SAHRC Western Cape Provincial Office will host community outreach interventions in Worcester

    Attention: Editors and Reporters

    23 July 2019

The Western Cape Department of Local Government (Department) working in collaboration with  the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) will host advocacy and outreach engagements in the Breede Valley Local Municipality from 24-25 July 2019.  The two day Outreach, which will also include other government departments, is an integrated service delivery vehicle used by the Department to ensure that services get to reach outlying areas in the province.

Accordingly, various government departments and institutions supporting democracy, have been invited to come and share information and render services on both days. Thus these interventions are designed to raise awareness on human rights, bring services to the people and to also build sustainable working relations with local stakeholders.

The Outreach is planned as follows:

                                      Event:  Thusong Community Outreach

                                        Venue: Sommerset High School

                                        Date:  24 – 25 July 2019

                                        Time:  09h00-15h00
