Media Invite: SAHRC Western Cape Provincial Office to host information session on Basic Human rights and the Constitution

On 07-08 August 2019, the South African Human Rights Commission (“the Commission”), Western Cape Provincial Office, working in collaboration with other institutions supporting democracy, will be hosting information sessions to amplify basic human rights awareness enshrined in “Chapter 2 of the Constitution – the Bill of Rights. The information sessions are centered under the theme “Know Your Rights and Responsibilities.

The information sessions are intended to equip communities with information on the role and mandate of the Commission, and the role and responsibilities of government in strengthening the promotion and protection of human rights.

These sessions are targeting community-based organisations and ordinary members of the public, and are scheduled to take place as follows:
