Media Advisory: The SAHRC Western Cape Provincial Office will embark on advocacy and monitoring visits in the Cape Metro

The Western Cape Provincial office of the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) will embark on advocacy and monitoring work in and around the Cape Metro.

This is in line with the mandate of the SAHRC as enshrined in the Constitution under Section 184. In this regard, the SAHRC will visit a number of identified government departments for the purposes of monitoring the observance of human rights. These visits will be conducted in the Delft and Langa areas. Furthermore, the provincial office will also conduct an information session for students of the University of Western Cape Law Faculty.
