Media Invite: SAHRC Western Cape Provincial Office hosts a capacity building workshop on National Moot Court Competition (NSMCC)

As part of the 2019 Schools Moot Court Competition, the Western Cape Provincial Office working in partnership with the Department of Justice and the Department of Basic Education (WC) will be hosting a capacity building workshop aimed at empowering learners and educators in preparation to partake in the national competition later in the year.

The workshop is expected to create awareness on how the Constitution and the law work through court process to protect, demonstrate interconnectedness and promote respect of fundamental human rights enshrined in the Bill of Rights.

This workshop shall be held at the Metro North Education District (MNED) and shall provide a unique opportunity for learners to develop their legal research, writing and oral advocacy skills in preparation for the competition.

The workshop is scheduled to take place as follows:
