Media Invite: SAHRC Free State Provincial Office holds a human rights dialogue

Attention: Editors and Reporters

2 September 2019

Xenophobia is one of the biggest challenges facing communities across South Africa. Many national and non-national persons do not know or understand the Constitutional rights of non-national persons.

It is for this reason that the South African Human Rights Commission’s (SAHRC) Free State Provincial Office, in partnership with the Central University of Technology’s (CUT) International Student Association, will be hosting a human rights dialogue session on 3 September 2019.

The dialogue aims to inform the CUT community, including international students, about their human rights, as well as the mandate and functions of the SAHRC. It is through dialogues such as these that the SAHRC is able to fulfil its Constitutional mandate of promoting a culture of human rights in South Africa.

Details of the dialogue are as follows:

Date: 3 September 2019

Time: 14:00 – 17:00

Venue: Japie van Lil Auditorium, CUT Bloemfontein Campus
