Media Advisory: SAHRC Commissioner Angie Makwetla concludes her provincial visit in Limpopo Province with a stakeholder engagement on the changing landscape of children's rights

The SAHRC National Commissioner Mme Angie Mahlodi Makwetla (responsible for protection and promotion of the rights of children and migrants) is concluding her week-long visit in the Limpopo Province, on the 8th of November 2019, with a stakeholder engagement on the changing landscape of children’s rights, at Bolivia Lodge, Polokwane.

The engagement aims to bring children’s rights role-players together to discuss challenges faced by children, with specific emphasis on matters such as the prohibition of corporal punishment in the home. The engagement also aims to strengthen relationships with all stakeholders to ensure that the rights of children are treated as paramount in all matters affecting them.
