The Commissioner responsible for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and Older Persons at the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC), Adv. Bokankatla Malatji will be conducting a Provincial Visit in the North West from 2-5 December 2019.

The Commissioner responsible for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and Older Persons at the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC), Adv. Bokankatla Malatji will be conducting a Provincial Visit in the North West from 2-5 December 2019.
The purpose of the visit is to assess the observance of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and Older Persons by respective institutions, and to strengthen collaboration between the Commission and stakeholders in the province such as Civil Society Organisations and Government. Activities to be carried out during the visit includes the following:
• Visits to special and mainstream schools.
• Visits to residential facilities for older persons.
• Stakeholder engagements with both the Disability and Older Persons sector respectively.
