Media Advisory: SAHRC reconvenes the Preliminary Inquiry into the poor service delivery and gross underdevelopment in Ekangala and Kungwini region.

The South African Human Rights Commission (the Commission) has called the Gauteng MEC’s and the City of Tshwane to account for the service delivery complaints and gross underdevelopment in Ekangala and Kungwini region. This preliminary inquiry follows the initial inquiry held on 04 December 2019, where Gauteng government accounted for the numerous socio-economic rights violations such as the lack of service delivery, lack of access to adequate housing and evictions in the region.

The Inquiry will be hosted as follows:
