His legal intellect made him stood out prominently above many in his field. It is this, among many other qualities, that he spent his later years passing to young and upcoming lawyers, especially candidate attorneys. He fought against discrimination, domination, and corruption. He fought hard against apartheid mainly through the courts and stood firm against the unjust system. Today, the people of this country are free and democracy reigns, thanks largely to the struggle and the sacrifices that he and others waged to secure our freedom and democracy.
His passing away is an immeasurable loss to humanity. The Commission sends heart-felt condolences to his family and his countless friends and colleagues at the Bar.
