Media Advisory: SAHRC Eastern Cape Provincial Office will be monitoring various schools and conducting inspections in Stutterheim, Lesseyton and Ward 1 of Senqu Municipality

The South African Human Rights Commission (Commission) Eastern Cape provincial office will be monitoring schools in Stutterheim, Lesseyton and in Aliwal North Ward 1 villages (Ndofela, Bikizana, Mboni and Qhimerha), on 25 and 26 February 2021. The Commission will monitor and assess the observance of human rights and compliance of Covid-19 regulations.

The Commission with further meet with various stakeholders to consult and assess the progress made in revamping or constructing new bridges, building a clinic and ensuring access to water in Ward 1 of Senqu Municipality.
