Media Advisory: SAHRC Western Cape Provincial Office will be commemorating Human Rights Day and International Women's Day during the week of the 22 - 26 March 2021

The South African Human Rights Commission’s (the Commission) Western Cape Provincial Office (WC Office) recognises the significance of Human Rights Day in South Africa and the importance of this day with regards to the promotion of human rights of everyone in South Africa.

In celebration of this day and the commitment to taking the Commission to the people, the WC Office will embark on a human rights week awareness campaign that will take place in both the Central Karoo and the Garden Route districts. This week will commemorate national Human Rights Day as well as International Women’s Day.

Furthermore, the WC Office will also be participating in two engagements in collaboration with the ACVV Moreson Child and Youth Care Centre in George and Oudtshoorn Correctional Centre. The planned activities are detailed below:
