Media Statement: SAHRC Mpumalanga is conducting schools visits to raise awareness in Elukwatini

Attention: Editors and Reporters
11 May 2021

The South African Human Rights Commission (“Commission”), in collaboration with the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development as well as other institutions, is conducting schools visits until 14 May 2021 to educate learners about Human Rights and the Constitution as part of celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Constitution.

The primary objective of the visits is to raise awareness on the rights enshrined in the Constitution and to reinforce the culture of human rights amongst the leaners and their communities.  The visits are conducted in line with Covid 19 regulations and with less impact on the teaching programmes of the schools.
