Media Invite: SAHRC Mpumalanga Provincial oral round on National Schools Moot Court Competition (NSMCC)

Attention: Editors and Reporters
16 September 2021

As part of the 2021 Schools Moot Court Competition and following the success of Mpumalanga learners who participated in the essay writing phase of the competition, the Mpumalanga provincial office of the South African Human Rights Commission in collaboration with Department of Basic Education and the Department of Justice in Mpumalanga will be hosting the learners as they now take part in the provincial oral round of the competition.

The provincial oral rounds are intended to provide a unique opportunity for learners to present their legal arguments over a human rights case study as counsel teams for both the applicants and respondent against each other in front of a set of judges who will be assessing their advocacy skills and general oral presentation.

The Provincial Oral Round is scheduled to take place as follows:
Date:               Saturday, 18 September 2021
Venue:            Mpumalanga High Court
Time:              10:00
