Media Advisory: The South African Human Rights Commission National Investigative Hearing Into the July 2021 Unrest Underway

The South African Human Rights Commission (the Commission or the SAHRC) continues its National Investigative Hearing into the July 2021 Unrest which largely affected wa-Zula Natal and Gauteng Provinces has commenced on the 15th November 2021 and will continue until the 3rd December 2021.

The Hearing is being held at the Gateway Hotel, Umhlanga, in Kwa-Zulu Natal and the sitting will be held at this venue for the entrity of the three week period.

The SAHRC is still accepting written submissions from parties affected by the unrest which unfolded during July 2021, up until the 19th November 2021. These submissions can be sent via email:
