Media Advisory: The South African Human Rights Commission to conduct site inspection of the Wemmer Pan Lake following allegations of environmental pollution

Tomorrow, the South African Human Rights Commission, Gauteng Provincial Office will be conducting a site inspection of the Wemmer Pan Lake in Johannesburg. This follows allegations of environmental pollution and raw sewage pouring into the lake.
According to media reports, the lake is dark and heavily polluted, covered by an almost shiny, oily layer and stench of hydrogen sulphide is almost unbearable.

The inspection will take place as follows:
