Attention: Editors and Reporters

The Eastern Cape Provincial Office (ECPO) of the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) will be hosting a human rights day event in Mbizana in the Alfred Nzo District.

The engagement will be held as follows:

Date:  24th of March 2022

Time:  10H00 – 13H00

Venue: Sandile Bhani Community Hall-Mbizana

The engagement will include participants from multiple sectors, including Chapter 9 and 10 Institutions, district and provincial government departments.  The invited speakers will engage on their respective mandates and how they promote and protect human rights. An opportunity will be afforded to the invited speakers in order for them to address or respond to questions directed at them from the affected communities. The SAHRC underscores the importance of safeguarding the rights of communities and emphasizes the need to ensure that rights are respected, promoted and protected.
