MEDIA RELEASE: SAHRC Limpopo Conducts Inspection and Monitoring of provision of Clean Drinking Water in the Vhembe District Municipality 03-04 May 2022

The South African Human Rights Commission (Commission) is a Constitutional body, established to support constitutional democracy in terms of Section 181 of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996 (Constitution). Section 184(1) (b) of the Constitution obliges the Commission to promote the protection of human rights, and monitor and assess the observance of human rights in the Republic of South Africa.

The SAHRC Limpopo Provincial Office will be embarking on the Inspection and Monitoring of the provision of Clean Drinking Water in the Vhembe District Municipality on 03-04 May 2022. The areas that will be visited include amongst others Thohoyandou and surroundings, Ha Mutoti, Ha Mhinga, Botsoleni and Matiyani Villages.
