The purpose of the joint outreach programme is to:
- Promote the mandate and raise the profile of the Commission in the district.
- Educate and raise awareness about human rights, the Bill of Rights and enforcing the rights in the Bill of Rights.
- Establish and build relations with stakeholders in the district.
- Investigate and make follow-ups on complaints of human rights violations.
- Provide legal advice and assistance to those who need it.
- Conduct monitoring in key facilities in the district
The Promotion of Human Rights Programme will conduct Stakeholder Engagements on Human Settlements, Water and Sanitation and host a Human Rights Dialogue on Human Rights, the Bill of Rights and Enforcing the Bill of Rights as follows:
