Media Advisory: SAHRC Northern Cape Provincial Office to Conduct a Joint Outreach Programme in the Pixley Ka Seme District

The South African Human Rights Commission (the Commission) in the Northern Cape Province will be conducting a joint outreach programme in the Pixley Ka Seme District from Monday, 18 July to Friday, 22 July 2022.

The purpose of the joint outreach programme is to: 

  • Promote the mandate and raise the profile of the Commission in the district.
  • Educate and raise awareness about human rights, the Bill of Rights and enforcing the rights in the Bill of Rights.
  • Establish and build relations with stakeholders in the district.
  • Investigate and make follow-ups on complaints of human rights violations.
  • Provide legal advice and assistance to those who need it.
  • Conduct monitoring in key facilities in the district

The Promotion of Human Rights Programme will conduct Stakeholder Engagements on Human Settlements, Water and Sanitation and host a Human Rights Dialogue on Human Rights, the Bill of Rights and Enforcing the Bill of Rights as follows:
