Media Release: SAHRC in Limpopo to conduct workshop for the Mental Health Review Board Member in collaboration with the Limpopo Department of Health

The South African Human Rights Commission (the Commission) is a state institution established by Chapter 9 of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996 to support constitutional democracy. The Commission is mandated in terms of Section 184 of the Constitution to promote the protection, development and attainment of human rights and to monitor the observance of such rights within the Republic of South Africa.

The Commission in collaboration with the Limpopo Department of Health will conduct the Workshop for Mental Health Review Board members on 29th of June 2023 at the Bolivia Lodge in Polokwane at 08h00 am.

It is the Constitutional Mandate of the Commission to ensure the commitment to promotion, protection and monitoring the adherence and observation of human rights in South Africa.
