On 10 to 12 May 2023, the NWPO convened the first sitting of the provincial investigative inquiry. The provincial investigative inquiry was postponed for a second sitting due to the failure of some of the Respondents to appear before the Commission, necessitating that they be subpoenaed to appear before the Commission.
At the second sitting of the provincial investigative inquiry, the Commission expects to hear evidence from the Office of the Premier, the Provincial Treasury, Rustenburg Local Municipality, JB Marks Local Municipality and Madibeng Local Municipality.
