Media Advisory: The SAHRC Northern Cape Provincial Office to participate in the 2023 National Schools Moot Court Programme Provincial Finals

The Northern Cape Provincial Office of the South African Human Rights Commission (the Commission) will participate in the Provincial Finals of the 2023 National Schools Moot Court Programme in Kimberley. The programme will be held in conjunction with the Northern Cape Provincial Department of Education and the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development. The programme brings together selected school learners across the province to engage in mock trial scenarios that test their advocacy skills and legal knowledge.

The National Schools Moot Court Programme is a flagship initiative aimed at nurturing the next generation of legal professionals by providing them with an immersive experience in the field of law and courtroom proceedings. Through simulated court case, learners are given an opportunity to delve into hypothetical problem involving constitutional issues, develop critical thinking abilities and enhance their public speaking and argumentation skills.

The 2023 National Schools Moot Court Programme Northern Cape Provincial Finals will take place as follows:

Venue   : Northern Cape High Court, Kimberley
