Media Advisory: The SAHRC Free State Provincial Office and Department of Education will conduct a preparatory workshop as part of the 2023 National Schools Moot Court Programme (NSMCP)

The South African Human Rights Commission (the Commission) and the Department of Education will be hosting a Provincial Schools Moot Court preparatory workshop to help students prepare for the Provincial round of Schools Moot Court programme. The Commission and the Department of Education are collaborating with the University of the Free State, the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development and legal experts to provide learners with workshop in preparation for the Provincial School Moot Court Programme.

The National Schools Moot Court Programme is an annual event designed to improve high school students' Constitutional fluency and understanding. Learners are given the opportunity to study more about the Constitution and to construct legal arguments using case studies and applicable laws.

The details of the workshop are as follows:
