Media Advisory: The South African Human Rights Commission in the North West Province will commemorate World Food Day and International Day for the Eradication of Poverty

Calendar day events are amongst the set outputs in line with the 2023- 24 Annual Operational Plan of the (Commission) to promote respect for human rights and a culture of human rights.

The North West Provincial Office (NWPO) seeks to commemorate International World Food Day in conjunction with the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty to deepen and strengthen levels of awareness about the significance of these commemorative days.

The commemorations are scheduled to take place as follows:    

Commemoration: World Food Day

Venue: Mareetsane Village (Community Nutrition Development Centre)    

Date: 16 October 2023

Commemoration: International Day For the Eradication of Poverty

Venue: Madibogo Pan (Boipelo Home Based Care   

Date: 17 October 2023
