Media Advisory: The South African Human Rights Commission in the North West Province will commemorate World Toilet Day

The North West Provincial Office (NWPO) seeks to commemorate World Toilet Day to deepen and strengthen levels of awareness and to highlight the state of sanitation in the province and the need for urgent action to ensure the delivery of safe sanitation solutions to ensure public health, human dignity and personal safety.

The commemoration is scheduled to take place as follows:        

Commemoration: World Toilet Day

Venue: Coligny – Scotland Soccer Field   

Date: 17 November 2023

 

The commemoration was be preceded by site inspections in Coligny on 16 November 2023 from 10:00.

Calendar day events are amongst the set outputs in line with the 2023- 24 Annual Operational Plan of the (Commission) to promote respect for human rights and a culture of human rights.
