The Gauteng Provincial Office of the South African Human Rights Commission and the International Commission of Jurists will host an “Access to Online Services For Persons With Disabilities” meeting with members of the banking sector, civil society, and government. The purpose of the meeting is to determine whether, despite all the technological advances that have been made, persons with disabilities have not been left behind and or ostracised from these advancements.
The meeting intends to craft and conceptualize solutions, aimed at increasing access to online services for persons with disabilities and ensuring the full realization of their rights. The meeting forms part of the Gauteng Provincial Office’s Disability Rights Awareness initiatives commemorating National Disability Rights Awareness Month celebrated between 03 November to 03 December.
