Media Alert: The South African Human Rights Commission, Limpopo Provincial Office to conduct a community outreach at Ntwane Village, Groblersdal.

Date: 20 March 2024

Attention: Editors and Reporters

The South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) Limpopo Provincial Office (LPO) undertakes to conduct a community outreach at Bantwane Community, a farming community under the Bantwane Traditional Council found in Groblersdal.

The above comes after the SAHRC noted with concern, racial tensions observed at Groblersdal in the past months and the increasing number of incidents allegedly motivated by racial divisions in the Groblersdal area.

It is within this background that the LPO found it necessary to conduct the outreach to educate members of the public about the SAHRC.

The outreach is scheduled as follows:

Date             : 20 March 2024

Time            : 10h00

Venue          : Ntwane Moshate, Next to Bantwane School
