Media Invite: SAHRC Mpumalanga Office embarks on the Provincial Human Rights Awareness Campaign

The SAHRC Mpumalanga Provincial Office (MPO) will be embarking on the provincial human rights awareness campaign from 22 – 27 March 2024. The campaign is meant to increase awareness about SAHRC role and mandate as well as basic human rights as enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa (“the Constitution”).

To fulfil its constitutional mandate, the SAHRC MPO shall be monitoring the observance of human rights in different public institutions; site inspections, recording of complaints and enquiries as part of its protection mandate. The MPO shall also be conducting information sessions as part of its promotion mandate
