Media Invite: SAHRC Mpumalanga Provincial Office to host a multisectoral stakeholder meeting on the promotion of human rights

The South African Human Rights Commission (“the Commission”) will be hosting a multisectoral stakeholder meeting on the promotion of human rights with a specific focus on civil and political rights – the right to vote and the right to citizenship under the theme: “The Impact of Lack of Documentation on the Right to Vote.”

The Commission has identified different stakeholders, including media houses such as Lokuhle Commercial Radio Station, to be part of deliberations during the meeting and pursue partnership with media houses and opportunities for signing of Memoranda of Understanding.

Media plays an important role in shaping public awareness and providing information that shapes attitudes and public opinion, and is one of the critical pillars of our democracy.

The meeting is scheduled to take place as follows:
