Media Invite: SAHRC Mpumalanga Provincial Office to conduct a community outreach engagement to promote human rights

Attention: Editors and Reporters

13 June 2024

The South African Human Rights Commission (“the Commission”) will conduct a community outreach engagement through information sessions in Mahushu Village, Hazyview. The engagement is meant to promote human rights enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996.

The engagement aims to raise awareness of the negative impact of challenges such as corruption, criminality and poor service delivery on the realisation of human rights of communities in the province. The community outreach engagement serves as a platform for broadening public participation and enhancing the visibility of the Commission.

The information session is scheduled to take place as follows:
Date: 13 June 2024
Area: Mahushu Village, Hazyview
Venue: Sheikana Church
Time: 10h00 - 15h00
