Media Advisory: SAHRC Limpopo Provincial Office continues with its inquiry on Mining Activities in Limpopo Province.

The South African Human Rights Commission’s (SAHRC) Limpopo Provincial Office (LPO) will continue with its hearing on mining activities in Limpopo today from 09h00 to 12h00. 

This is the continuation of an inquiry which was held from the 25th to the 27th of June 2024. Fetakgomo-Tubatse Local Municipality failed to attend the inquiry and submit information requested by the SAHRC.

The SAHRC considered reasons advanced by the municipality for failing to appear before it and this morning will proceed to hear the municipality’s submission on Mining Activities.

 

The hearing will take place as follows:
