Media Invite: SAHRC Mpumalanga Provincial Office to conduct Provincial Oral Round of the National School Moot Court Programme (NSMCP)

As part of the 2024 National Schools Moot Court Programme (NSMCP) and following the success of Mpumalanga learners who participated in the Essay Writing Phase of the Project, the South African Human Rights Commission’s Mpumalanga Provincial Office in collaboration with the Department of Basic Education, and the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development in Mpumalanga will be hosting the learners as they take part in the Provincial Oral Round proceedings of the NSMCP.

The Provincial Oral Round proceedings are intended to provide a unique opportunity for learners to present their legal arguments over a human rights case study on access to technology in education as Counsel Teams for both the applicants and respondents against each other in front of a panel of judges who will be assessing their advocacy skills and general oral presentation.

The proceedings are envisaged to take place as follows:

Date: 17 August 2024 (Saturday)

Venue: Mpumalanga High Court, Mbombela

Time: 10h00 – 13h00
