The South African Human Rights Commission’s (Commission) Gauteng Provincial Office will host a stakeholder engagement with various stakeholders on the recommendations of the South African Human Rights Commission Report into the Vaal River Inquiry Report.

This engagement is a follow-up meeting based on the plans and presentations provided by the various department representatives to the Commission in the previous financial year. The Commission will meet with representatives from the Department of Water and Sanitation, Rand Water, the Department of Corporate Governance and Traditional Affairs, and community leaders.

The purpose of the engagement is to monitor the progress made against the submitted plans and to receive feedback from each stakeholder on the way forward.
