Media Advisory: SAHRC’S Free State Provincial Office will conduct SHiNE in Maluti-A-Phofung, Kestell Town

The South African Human Rights Commission (the Commission) launched the Social Harmony National Effort (SHiNE), to promote social cohesion, harmony, tolerance, and respect for human rights across South Africa. This initiative envisions a bottom-up strategy that encourages all South Africans to embrace good change and create a new culture of intensive social contact, camaraderie, and respect for one another.

The Commission will collaborate with the Maluti-A-Phofung Local Municipality, the Government Communication and Information System (GCIS), and Champions, to address issues impacting society and Marena A Basotho. Furthermore, it explores the influence of different cultures on interpersonal relationships and social cohesiveness in the family.

The SHiNE Engagement will take place as follows:
