Media Advisory: Inter-Provincial monitoring and advocacy outreach roadshow in the West Rand District Municipality and the JB Marks Local Municipality

The South African Human Rights Commission’s (SAHRC) North West Provincial Office and Gauteng Provincial Office have been undertaking an inter-provincial monitoring roadshow from 18-22 November 2024 to conduct monitoring and advocacy activities between the two provinces.

These monitoring and advocacy activities are being done to establish the presence of the Commission in the areas which are on the border between the two provinces. The outreach activities are further aimed at engaging with diverse communities to raise awareness about human rights, foster public understanding, empower communities to advocate for their rights and advance a culture of respect, dignity and equality for all.

The monitoring and advocacy roadshow has been planned as follows:
