Media Advisory: The Gauteng Provincial Office will conduct a media briefing on the state of human rights in Gauteng

The South African Human Rights Commission’s (SAHRC/the Commission) Gauteng Provincial Office (GPO) will conduct a State of human rights media briefing engagement at Kofifi FM.

During the briefing, the media and the public will be updated on significant cases and issues that have arisen in the Gauteng province over the 24/25 financial year. The media briefing provides the Commission with an opportunity to share important case and investigation updates to community members through the media.

The Provincial Office will provide updates on key investigations including the Vaal River Hearing Report, Discrimination investigations undertaken in 2024/2025 and Education related investigations.
