Media Invite: SAHRC meets Portfolio Committee on Basic Education

ATTENTION: Editors and Reporters

The South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) will be participating in an engagement with the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Basic Education. Amongst matters that will be discussed will be feedback on progress on the implementation of recommendations emanating from the report on the National Investigative Hearings on the Impact of Protest Action on Education.

Members of the media are invited to attend and report on the proceedings of this engagement.
The engagement will be held as follows:

TIME:      From 10:00 am
VENUE:    National Assembly, Committee Room M46, Ground Floor, Marks Building

SAHRC Commissioner Andre Gaum will be leading the engagement as the Commissioner responsible for promoting and protecting Education rights.
