    Attention: Editors and Reporters

South African Human Rights Commissioner, Advocate Mohamed Shafie Ameermia, has been awarded the Robert G. Storey International Award for Leadership in Dallas, Texas.
The Commission is proud of Commissioner Ameermia’s achievement in receiving this award in recognition of his dedication and commitment to human rights. Commissioner Ameermia is the first South African and African to receive the prestigious international award.

The Robert G. Storey International Award for Leadership is an international award, which was established in 1990 in honour of the founder and first president of the Centre for American and International Law (CAIL).  CAIL is a non-profit institution, dedicated to improving the quality of justice through the education of lawyers and law enforcement officials in the United States and throughout the world. It recognises Dean Storey's dedication to peace, justice, and the rule of law in the international community.
